ASHBURN, VA – A victim in Ashburn was robbed by a pair of gunmen on Thursday evening, according to a report from the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office. The victim initially arranged to sell a pair of shoes to the thieves, who then stole items from the victim’s home.

The suspects were not located Thursday evening. Authorities believe the men fled the area in an unknown vehicle.

The theft took place around 6:45 p.m. on Thursday, January 6, in the 43700 block of Piedmont Hunt Terrace, the sheriff’s office said. The victim told police he was selling clothes through a social media app. Two men had arrived at the victim’s home on Thursday to purchase a pair of shoes, according to the police report.

As the victim and the men began to discuss the payment, the men began to take items from the victim’s bedroom and began to flee the house, police said. The victim caught up with one of the men in the garage of the house. A physical struggle ensued and the two subjects showed guns, police said.

The deputies responded to the area and established a perimeter. They searched the area with the help of a Fairfax County Police Department helicopter. The suspects were not located Thursday evening, according to the sheriff’s office.
