Evansville shoppers were able to get a good deal on Saturday while helping local animals.
Camilla’s Closet organized its semi-annual “Fill-a-Bag” sale.
Customers were able to fill their bag for $ 10 with as much clothing as they wanted.
A majority of the money raised goes to Petunia’s Resale For Rescue, a thrift store supporting local animal rescue efforts.
This money will then be returned in the form of grants to other animal rescues.
“We are an animal rescue. This is our mission. My wife and I decided some time ago that we don’t necessarily want our work to be our work, so we are moving in that direction to give grants to people. local animals. rescue, ”says Curt Welte, owner of Camilla’s Closet.
It Takes A Village Canine Rescue was also on site with dogs ready for adoption.
Any successful adoption also received a $ 25 Camilla’s Closet gift card.
The next “Fill-a-Bag” event will take place in the spring.
